Perfect for those new to the sport of kayaking. Start off right with a kayaking clinic at Rapid Expeditions. These professionally instructed courses are designed to introduce the sport to those who have never been in a boat. Roll technique, paddling technique, reading the water, and safety/rescue are just a few of the topics we will cover in this 4-5 hour clinic. Trips can be arranged to go to other neighboring rivers and creeks for those new to the scene who are looking to familiarize themselves with the sport. $150/person

Private Kayaking Lessons

A great way to gain the confidence and skills you need to tackle East Tennessee and Western North Carolina's top whitewater destinations. A certified kayak instructor will help you customize your lesson plan to fit your exact needs. Work on specific skills and techniques, along with safety and rescue such as z-drags, taglines and stabilization lines. Classes are 1-on-1 with an ACA (American Canoe Association) certified instructor, and we guarantee this will increase your paddling skills. $200/lesson

Try out the sport of whitewater kayaking with a trained professional who brings over 20 years of experience to each clinic. Join us every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Hartford, TN for free basic roll clinics. This is a great way to introduce yourself to the wonderful sport of kayaking without any obligations.
